Ingredients for the Perfect Bubble Bath

How much do I love bubble baths? Let me count the ways.

A great bubble bath is like a spa treatment, but even better because you don’t need an appointment and there’s no time limit.

Empaths and water are a heavenly match and with all the stressors in the world lately, I’ve been perfecting my bubble bath routine.

Turns out, there’s a reason for this. According to Dr. Judith Orloff’s book The Empath’s Survival Guide, bubble baths are an important protection strategy for us.

A few years ago (before I read this book and before I knew I was an empath) a massage therapist told me about soaking in Epsom salts because I pulled a muscle in my neck and was in a lot of pain. Since then, I’ve made it part of my routine.

At least once a week, I indulge in a bubble bath ritual. Usually at night, but sometimes in the middle of the afternoon (which feels so naughty), when I feel stressed or overwhelmed I go about my ritual and soak for as long as possible.

Here are my ingredients for the perfect bubble bath:

  1. Candles — I light all of the candles in my bathroom
  2. Music — I queue up my playlist…
